I am a little shocked when I troll through the photographs of my work and see how many pieces have birds and bird-related elements in them. As anyone who knows me is aware, birds have always been an important part of my life. I as introduced to them at an early age and spent many delightful hours watching them at my grandparents' house and at my own. I also live with five feathered family members who bring me great joy each and every day.

For the Love of Birds
I am a little shocked when I troll through the photographs of my work and see how many pieces have birds and bird-related elements in them. I also live with five feathered family members who bring me great joy each and every day.

I can't get enough of birds. I told my blog buddies that I would stop for awhile with the birds. I don't know why but I am obsessed with them. I always go back to making birds.

Hi Heather,
I haven't visited in many months, but I'm so glad I made my way back today. I grew up with birds, too. I had a parakeet named Ricky who would kiss you on the cheek and then say, "Ricky is a pretty boy!" I also had a beautiful yellow canary whose song was so magical to me. Birds look so delicate, yet they have the stamina to fly so many miles. Quite a lesson for us humans!!! Your blog is beautiful as always!!!
