I can't believe that it is already nearly October and the date of my last post was mid-June! I told myself that I was only going to take a week or two off. I was just feeling burnt out and bogged down. Two weeks has turned into over three months. Thank you to all of you who have checked in with me to see if I'm okay. I felt missed and in turn I missed all of the wonderful connections that I have made through the blogging world.
Well, I haven't taken a break from art during my hiatus. In fact, I've been exploring the big, wide and marvelous world of art journalling. Do you know that feeling you get when you see an art form that you've never tried before and it just calls to you....a niggling feeling at first that becomes a roar. Well, that's the way it was with me. That and the fact that I wanted to be able to do art each and every day. Art journaling is portable and I'm finding that I just can't wait until lunch at work to dig out my supplies and lose myself in doodling and thinking and writing. It truly is my solace.
I hope all of you have been well and have enjoyed the summer months. I look forward to reconnecting with you.

oh yay Heather---- art journaling is very addictive and I love it too. Especially when I kind of stuck about my collage work.
I have not been keeping up with my blogging very much either. Check it out when you have a chance to see my latest stuff.

Hi Heather!!! Welcome back. I was glad when I saw your post roll up on blog reader list. I have since done a post about our book swap...everyone loved your book!
Your journal pages look fabulous! Just as you come back...so starts up my busiest time of the year...day job and Xmas markets ...so probably come October my blog will be really quiet till after Xmas....I just wanted to say hello and I know your fans will be happy to see you posted.
Hooray!!! Heather is back!
Good for you to take a nice long break and focus on an art form that brings you energy : )
I LOVE what you have made. These two journal pages are fabulously creative and expressive. I love the colors, the swirls, the little cutouts of paper (?), and your sentiments.
Hugs,
Terri

It's great to have you back, Heather! I hope you are feeling stong and creative - and I'm sure you are, because your art journal pages look fantastic. I can very well understand your taking a break from blogging - making art is much more fun than working with the computer. I wish you a wonderful autumn!
