Three Muses Challenge - Buttons and Bows

The beauty of online art courses is that you can work away at them at your own speed....in my case that speed is slow, very slow. It's not that I don't have the will to forge my way through them but I often lack the energy and the time. However, I take great comfort in knowing that they are there when I need them full of interesting new techniques and knowledge. This canvase are created in the "Mossy Style" a.k.a. a style that Joanna Pierotta likes to use. I had a marvelous time layering paints and creating texture with my heat gun. This is my entry for the Three Muses challenge this week.

Heather, I love to know how artworks are created and it sounds intriguing and interesting to hear about layers of paint and heat guns and the outcome is wonderful.

Oh, I love her. She is wonderful! I did "mossy style" too, and it was so much fun, layering, painting and heating. Seeing your beautiful art makes me want to go and do another one myself.

Wow, this is fantastic Heather, Love the wonderful background and the treasure you've created!! I most certainly can relate to the 'time issue'. I've been blessed with two slow years doing, what I want when I want, but now ever since we opened the new grocery store, I've been swamped, with hardly any time to be creative and no energy... I'm hoping October will prove to be a more relaxed month and give me some time and energy to be creative, visit my friends and blogfriends, do some housework before the piles of dirty laundry takes over my laundry room :)

Take care sweet Heather, your artwork is always an inspiration!!

Hugs and smiles,
Linda

Hi,

This is my first opportunity to comment after several visits to your blog. Your art is wonderful and brings me a lot of joy and inspiration. I want to try new things after viewing your art.

Your autumn paper bag book art work from September 2008 has inspired me to use Sunflower petals from my smaller plants in some of my "holding on to summer" ATCs and cards this past week at my altered heART works.

Your textured background and colors here on your Buttons & Bows are wonderful -- some thing else on my list to try!

Thank you so much for sharing! :-)
