The Three Muses - Word Salad

The link between words, phrases, quotations, poems and artwork is such a natural one for me. Even as a child I found poetry to be magical. In fact, my favourite book was one that my mother had received for perfect attendance at Sunday School....Robert Louis Stevenson's "A Garden of Verses". It had beautiful watercolour illustrations and I loved being transported to the Land of Counterpane. The lovely poem I used above just described so wonderfully the way I feel when I'm in my garden. These journal pages are my entry for this weeks The Three Muses challenge.

Oh, Heather, we share the ability to get lost in the glorious word pictures of poetry. (In fact, when thinking of next week's theme, a poem immediately came to mind). What wonderful journal pages are these. I'd love to sit in a comfy chair on a rainy day with a stack of good music on the CD player thumbing through your journal! Thanks for playing along!

I feel the same way, Heather. I still buy myself illustrated children's books, as a matter of fact. You examples here are beautifully romantic and carry my imagination away.
