I was digging in the garden on the weekend and unearthed a bumble bee beneath the ground. I don't know who was more suprised! He was rather dozy and stumbled around before taking flight. This is an encaustic ode to Spring and all of its wonders and is my entry for this week's Created ByHand challenge.

I've never heard of a bumble bee being beneath the ground! Is that weird, or am I just ignorant??? ~Lori
