This round robin page was made for a teacher who chose "Vintage School Days" as the theme of her journal. School has always been a big part of my family. My paternal Grandmother taught in a one-room schoolhouse and both my mother and sister are also teachers. I used the schoolhouse where my grandmother taught combined with one of my mother's class photos (she's the one framed by a star). Inside the windows are pictures of my Dad in school. He looks like he wasn't always well-behaved judging from the sparkle in his eye as he sits at his desk next to his favourite cousin! This in my entry for this week's Created ByHand challenge with the theme of "doors and windows" and the Crazy Amigo Challenge that asked us to use paint in our creations this week.

beautiful Heather!!love the faces behind the little windows!!
Such a beautiful collage and so personal too.Love the stars at the bottom, that reminds me of school.
This is great. The children behind the window..very beautiful.
Absolutely wonderful, Heather! I love it.
My brother-in-law's mother also taught in a one-room schoolhouse. I believe the building is still there, although it's abaondoned. It pains me to see historic buildings like that wasting away without anyone taking care of them. I've always thought it would be so cool to convert one into a house to live in! I love how you incorporated your dad into this piece! ~Lori
