Mixed Media Monday - Harmony

What a fascinating theme this week on Mixed Media Monday....Harmony. What has always given me the most pleasure and balance in my life is being in the natural world and taking time to stop and watch what is going on around me. I used to spend hours as a child watching the birds at the bird feeder and patiently feeding squirrels who would reluctantly eat from my hand. The same is true today. I love my early morning runs, my trips to the cottage to spend time by the lake, long walks in the woods especially in the Autumn. I hope I've captured that feeling of calmness, stillness and harmony in the round robin pages I created.

Just reading your thoughts and the colours in these beautiful compositions makes me feel "harmony".

From the look of these two pieces, we must feel exactly the same about fall. The colors and images here are as hypnotic as watching leaves drift over my pond like moths in the gray twilight or watching the great Blue Heron float above the treeline of the woods behind my house.

Your art perfectly captures the woodsmoke, languor of autumn.

They are absolutely gorgeous, I am not much of an Autumn person, usually in the north of Engalnd it is wet and grey ad miserable and we rarely get the blue sky red leaf kinds of Autumn, though we did last year, but these pieces make me want to run about in dried leaves and kick up my heels for the fun of it.
