Gothic Arch Challenge - Open Theme

I was intrigued by this collage image that I purchased on etsy and couldn't wait to incorporate her into a piece of artwork. She is stiff and formal with her layers of clothing yet whimsical with her wings and to me she belongs with nature. I used a faux watercolour background, layered it with printed acetate and added pressed flowers and a lovely gold butterfly. This is my entry for this week's Gothic Arch challenge.

You always have a sense of the colours and the embellishments Heather, that make a piece complete. This Queen is very strong...I think it's the dress. And did this come to you because of my HRH comment?!? lol!!!! ;)

Heather, this is such a fetching arch. There is a sense of nobility with this grand dame, I can understand the draw. Your colors are always so vibrant. I've not ever, ever been able to achieve the same results with beeswax, not even close, actually! :) Awesome work.

She is lovely. I added that to my favorites, might have to buy them. I like the color scheme you came up with also! Pretty Heather. And thanks for the tip for the sheet.
