Mixed Media Monday - Numbers

Well, I've returned after two glorious weeks of sunshine and long, lazy days at the cottage. How very decadent! I missed visiting blogs and keeping in touch with all of you while I was away, though. Please bear with me as I get caught up on emails, responding to your lovely blog comments and acknowledging gorgeous artwork received while I was on vacation.

The wonderful Donna from Mixed Media Monday granted me the honour of being the guest host today with the theme of "Numbers". In keeping with my current obsession, I created an altered tin. Honestly, I have emptied out every tin that I can find in my stash!! The darling images are from Retro Cafe Art Gallery and the background was created with encaustic waxes.

Heather you're back! Love this tin - I love the bingo tickets on art work, I think they look great. I'm starting to dabble with altering stuff but there's not enough hours in the day!

Gorgeous tin! I'm glad you're back--welcome home! By the way, I enjoyed very much reading the instructions you sent about the encaustic collage--where do you purchase the iron? Thanks much--Smiles, Jann

Welcome back and thank you for such a wonderful prompt for this week.

Your tin is so so cute! I too have as stash of tins and even "accept donations" from my family and friends...I periodically give them a list of things not to throw out.

I have yet to try the encaustic wax and find it very fascinating.
