My Mom and Dad taught my Sister and I to always be polite, respectful and thoughtful of others but there are times when I've taken these values to new levels. I have been known to apologize to a person who has just stepped on MY foot! The theme on Arty Girlz this week is "Blue" and this is my entry.

Arty Girlz Challenge - Blue

Manners...something we were raised with, something I've passed on to my children and yet, it's something we seem to be sorely lacking in society these days.
Gorgeous work -- the blues you've chosen are beautiful Heather and I love this little quote...makes me think of my own childhood, having tea with my great-aunts, sitting prim and proper at the table, speaking when spoken to -- and yet, while I complained that my legs were getting stuck to the plastic on their chairs (why did older people do that?!?!), I certainly learned an AWFUL lot while just listening!! hee!!
As for manners...oh my gosh..I apologize to inanimate objects when I walk into that -- how is that for obsessed?!?!
I meant to also comment on your new look. This banner is beautiful and it's very evocative of "you" and the art that you create. I liked your other banner but when we desire change it's wonderful that it can reflect who we are at that moment in our lives. Peggi's art is delightful and she's done a fantastic job of capturing "you"!

What a beautiful and fabulous collage, Heather! And your story of apologizing to someone who stepped on your foot brought back a memory of mine...when I thanked a policemanm, out of habit, who handed me a ticket. I was a bit absentmindedly being polite, but he thought I was being sarcastic and I narrowly escaped a second ticket!
