I didn't start using gesso until recently and this was one of the techniques that introduced me to it. It is extremely versatile. I learned that it wasn't just for providing "tooth" on paper or other surfaces. I use playing cards and layer gesso on them then a page from a telephone book. Once this is dry, I tear off the phone book page. This leaves a bit of the text on the surface of the playing card. Gel medium is applied to the top and the process is repeated. Once dry, the surface is marvelous for collage and stamping on it creates very crisp results. These atcs are my entry for this week's
Saturday Workout challenge.
