Three Muses Challenge - Time

Do you remember those lazy summer days as a child. You awoke with the whole day stretched before you and no commitments. What would you do today? I don't remember much planning. Perhaps you'd head over to your friend's house and he/she might have some good ideas for catching frogs in the pond, playing "Peanuts" (I was always Lucy!) or riding bikes somewhere (perhaps to purchase some candy at the local variety store). I often think we should all take a day like this every once in a while if we can. They are good for the soul. These two round robin journal pages are my entry for the Three Muses Challenge this week.

Beautiful pieces both, Heather. I was right there with you as you were describing your childhood days until you got to the part about riding to the little store -- the little store was 7 miles away for me!! We just rode to the creek and made mud pies!

Oh Heather, those were the days weren't they, and wouldn't it be fun to have one of those every month or so? Though a gaggle of 'mature' ladies, searching for frogs, playing peanuts or cycling to the shop for sweeties might attract a glance or two. Great journal pages and thank you for sharing.

Lovely journal pages! Your text about childhood summers is fantastic - it's true that the days were much longer then. It would be a good idea to have such a lazy day every now and then.
