It all started just before Christmas. I was patting myself on the back for having started altering composition books to give as gifts to family and friends and all was well until I discovered that the covers I was so meticulously designing were backwards! In disgust, I tucked them away in a drawer.....until a couple of weeks ago. I thought to myself, so what if they're upside down? The lines are still inside and they are still useable. So I finished them! I must admit that I have a bit of a reputation for upside down and backwards having cooked my very first turkey at Thanksgiving a few years ago on his back!!LOL
If any of you who so faithfully follow my blog and leave me such lovely comments don't mind an upside down journal, please just leave a message and I will put your name in a hat for a draw. I'll announce the winner next Sunday at which time I will post a second upside down journal. Hey, life isn't always the right side up in my world!!

I never thought about giving away my upside down backwards journal, I tossed it!!! lol
Have a wonderful day dear friend!
I had to laugh after reading your post, I had bought a dear friend the most beautiful cook book at a discount store. It was such a bargain too. Wrapped it up and gave it to her and when she opened it all the pages were upside down. boy was I red in the face! Now I know why it was such a bargain! LOL
She still Loved it!
Oh Heather, making things upside down and backwards sounds so familiar! I once installed a row of kitchen cabinets only to realize then that all the doors were upside down... Anyway, your turkey story made me laugh, and I think it's great that you can laugh at yourself, too. Great journals anyway!
Journals or turkeys upsidedown or right side up doesn't really matter..we are all standing on our heads at times. lol I love your journal and all the rest of your artwork. I would be a proud to own one.
I would love to have an upside doen and backwards journal!! Who says it's backwards, anyway!!
I think your journal is beautiful. Besides, the proper word for it is unique, not upside down or backwards. After all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I would love to own it. God bless you.

What a giveaway Heather-upside down and backward girl! Thanks!
I'm new to your blog too ... so even if I cant participate in the drawing, I want to tell you that it would be PERFECT to have an upside-down format for my next diary/journal, and I'll actually MAKE mine that way - what a great idea! It exemplifies what is going on in my life right now ... Love yorr mixed art, I wish I were that talented.
Warm greetings from Florida!
