Claudia Roulier shared a wonderful technique for altering playing cards. She begins with a coat of gesso then adds layer upon layer of gel medium, pages from the telephone book and gesso. She rips the telephone book pages to add texture and leave the imprint of the information on the pages. Sometimes when I'm particularly tired or creatively challenged, I'll just sit down and alter a deck of cards. These three atcs are created using Claudia's technique. They are my entry for the Three Muses challenge this week.

Oh my goodness Heather what a feast for the eyes! You are so clever and talented and deserve a Standing O from me.
they all look wonderful! and a great way to make a background!
These cards are really wonderful!!
great technique thanks for sharing....hope you feel better soon
What a superb card collection! Each one has its own very individual personality. I think my favourite has to be the careworn cowpoke. Fantastic.
Great artwork as always, Heather.
They all look fantastic
Thank you for sharing the concept, Heather. The cards are such fun, but the cowboy just cracks me up. He could seriously HURT someone with those horns, and all three look the least likely to be wearing wings! What fun!
These are all fantastic!
Wonderful cards with excellent images and vintage feel!
Gorgeous ATC's!
These are just stunning :) I want to see the rest of the deck :))
