Three Muses Challenge - Newspaper

We have a microfilm reader at the library and people use it to access vintage newspapers to look for obituaries and announcements of relatives, to find out information about a particular day or year or to chart the coverage of an event in history. For people in this city, one of the most researched events is the day that Jumbo the elephant died in our fair city. Another is the sinking of the Titanic. It is fascinating to watch as the information unfolds day by day and to note the difference in the speed at which this information is revealed. I have used a print off of a newspaper from this time frame and used it as the background for this piece which is my entry for the Three Muses Challenge this week.

What an interesting idea--looking at the old newspapers on microfiche--hadn't even thought of this--I haven't used one of those machines in a long time. Love your collage!

I love this piece!!! The flowers on the newsprint & the great images, it's simply wonderful friend.
I went to the PO yesterday & was so excited to see a package from my friend in Ontario. I couldn't wait, so I opened it right there & what I saw was pure joy. I love, love, love your sweet tin art!I must tell all your friends, these pieces look amazing in your photos but in person, they are stunning, lovely fun.
I'm so thrilled to be your winner! Thanks so much for your sweet note & thank you for sharing your amazing talent with all of us & most important...thank you for sending me this awesome little joy in a tin box, I love it!
