The Three Muses Challenge - Architecture

When I was in Grade 8, my teacher took us on a field trip right in the city in which I lived. We had been studying the history of architecture which I had found fascinating. He wanted us to see that the ancient architecture very much influenced the architecture of 100 years ago and today. We wandered the streets looking at landmarks and historic houses then ended up at a market restaurant for hot chocolate. It rates among one of my most favourite outings. This is my entry for the Three Muses Challenge this week.

Your two pieces are so elegant and beautifully crafted and I love the story that goes with them. Isn't it a wonderful thing that there ARE teachers who have the ability to open the eyes of their students to ideas in such a way that the inspiration lasts through their lives?
Great artwork.
