Saturday Surprise - Ornaments and Decorations

Is anyone feeling as overwhelmed as I am with the preparations for Christmas? I know I don't even have to ask this. I can see the same emotions etched on the faces of the people I meet as I scurry around running my errands. I'm always torn between the things I want to do and the things I must do and the latter usually wins sucking up all of my time and leaving me frustrated. One of the things that I'd love to do is to make several of these altered tins to tuck into my Christmas tree. I can just picture them nestled amid the branches. Hmmm.....my guess is that these will remain in my head this year. Perhaps I should work on this dream sometime in the summer!!LOL Be kind to yourself at this busy time of the year. This is my entry for the Saturday Surprise challenge this week.

very CUTE tin Heather. I love the tiny ornaments you added inside. CUTE window and images.
I like the paint you use. I tried to make a tin with paint (acrylic) but it seemed weird or dry and wouldn't close then. Is that the kind of paint you use for your tins?

Your entry is just wonderful, Heather! I love the altered tins!
I feel the same way... quite overwhelmed and cannot believe that Christmas is in just a few days! I tell myself every year, that I'll start earlier... though, that never happens! :)
Hugs to you!

I love these little tins you make Heather. Be gentle with yourself when it comes to Christmas, cheat at everything you possibly can and give space for yourself a high priority!

Your altered tin is fabulous, Heather. Thank you for the inspiration. This season has a lot of expectations doesn't it? Many of them we put upon ourselves, I know I do. Take time to smell the mulled spices this season! Cheers!

Hi Heather!
They'd be darling tucked into a tree! This one you made is so cute. I feel the same way about Christmas so I've simplified a little more this Christmas. I figure if I simplify a little each year, within 10-12 years I'll be stress free! LOL!
