Gothic Arch Challenge - Stars

When I was young it seemed as though I worked for stars. Teachers would affix them to schoolwork that they deemed excellent. Sunday school teachers would lick them and add them to attendance charts. Music teachers would add them to sheet music if I had actually practised during the week and played well during my lessons. Not getting a star meant disappointment and guilt. I was thinking about these feelings as I created this gothic arch and added the stars to it. This is my entry for the Gothic Arch challenge this week.

Oh, so beautiful, Heather! This work of art is worthy of ever so many stars!!! Your creations are so lovely--I remember being so happy whenever I got stars on my work, too--thanks for bringing back that little forgotten tidbit! Thank-you, too, for your visit and for the very sweet things you said--you made my day!

Being a teacher I have to say, you must have been a star pupil Heather. (Now why does that not surprise me?) Love the vinatge feel of your arch and that Paper Whimsy image is one of my favourites.

Your Arch is wonderful and your story is spot on about the disapointment we as children felt if we didn't get a star! I went with you on that walk down memory lane.
