Think Monday, Think ATC - Girls with Dolls

Did you have a favourite doll when you were young? I had two that were particular favourites of mine. One was named Suzie and by the time that I was finished with her, her hair was disheveled and missing in places and part of her face had been rubbed off. The other doll I favoured was Mrs. Beasley from "Family Affair". I remember that she was a "must have" and my parents very lovingly purchased her for me. I'd love to hear your favourite doll stories if you'd care to share! This is my entry for the Think Monday, Think ATC challenge this week.

Oh so sweet, enjoyed your story about your doll, mine wasnt a doll but a dog named Ginger, that I passed onto my Grandma and she kept it till my son was born then gave it to him, it was his favorite all through childhood. I have stitched and sewn that dogs more times then I care to remember. But we still have her and will pass it on when my son has his own child!

She's so cute and the trim is so delicate. My favorite doll was Chatty Cathy and I literally loved her until she was disgusting. I spent most of my time outside and she ate alot of my "cooking"! After cleaning her many times. my mother told me "she went home to her family". Now, mom says that she was just a mess and I'd cut hair and drawn on her. Poor babydoll.

Love your doll atc. My favorite was the chatty cathy doll too. The last I remember of her she had a baddd haircut, marks drawn all over her and was very dirty, but I still loved her. I think she talked at one time but that had worn out too.

Lovely card, Heather! The little girl looks so serious posing for the camera and holding her dear doll. The background image is great - someday she'll be old enough to attend school, too. - I had a favourite doll called Tuija (I named her after my cousin, who was a few years older than I) and I just loved making clothes and bed linen for her. And I still have her!

Your ATC is wonderful! My favorite was a Shirley Temple that actually belonged to my sister. She still has her and she had a trunk with clothes.
