Three Muses Challenge - Incredible Journey

The Three Muses Challenge theme this week is "Incredible Journey". It immediately gave me pause and I thought first about physical journeys but my mind kept returning to my artful journey. Never in a million years would I have ever thought that I would be someday keeping an art-related blog and actually calling myself an artist. I was pitiful in the subject in elementary and high school but can honestly say that I felt somewhat of a creative void in my life. I had no idea what I imagined would fill it but it was definitely there. Then I started dabbling in rubber stamping and a whole new world opened up for me. The Internet and blogging has shown me the scope of this new world and that the possibilities are endless. Every day I feel blessed that art and those who create it are such an integral part of my life and my own "incredible journey".

Heather, your collage is very beautiful, and I can see it has a strong personal meaning for you. I can very much identify with what you wrote about finding one's own creativity - isn't it wonderful to be on this incredible journey of artmaking!

I love the meaning behind this, Heather. You have such a talent for pulling different elements together and making them look beautiful. I can relate to how you felt...I still am hesitant to refer to myself as an artist. ~Lori

Quite pretty textured background you've created; your colours are so harmonious! I haven't had an Art blog nearly as long as you; but I sure can agree how much having it as an anchor sure opens your view of things!
