Mixed Media Monday - Mermaids

To tell you the truth I have mixed feelings about mermaids. Perhaps it's because I've read too many stories of them luring sailors to their demise in the mysterious underwater world. That being said, these two lovelies don't look in the least bit conniving or sinister. I've used a tin with a window in it which adds interesting depth. I couldn't help but giggle when I added the little "Bass" embellishment....waterproof guaranteed! I think not!! This is my entry for this week's Mixed Media Monday challenge.

I think these look like very sassy mermaids. Lure the men in and dominate them?

Oh my friend, this is way too cool. I LOVE it, especially the depth and the theme. You are just so prolific in creating your beautiful art. I wonder, is there a pill I can take to cause me to do that too? What is your secret on that? Perhaps it's some kind of tea you drink?

I loved your last email. Thanks so much. I have some exciting news on my blog.

This is a wonderful piece. I did have a hard time deciding between it and the Boy of the Woods tin that you so kindly gifted to me in your giveaway. I really like how the images are both on the inside and the outside of this one. Great dimension! ~Lori
