Sunday Postcard Art - Once Upon a Time

It is such an honour to be host for challenge blogs. This week on Sunday Postcard Art I decided to choose the theme "Once Upon a Time". Stories and reading have been interwoven into my life since the day I was born. I was read to as a small child and found my wings when I learned to read myself. Books were and still are my sanctuary, a place to escape into whenever I wish and to discover new ways of being and thinking and information about what is now, what came before and what will come. I just finished a book last night and felt genuine sadness when I came to the last page. Do you ever feel that way? The book was "Broken for You" by Stephanie Kallos.

This is precious, and yes I often feel sad when I finish a novel.
I have been slack on blog visits and I sure have missed seeing all your wonderful creative work Heather, hope to be back soon.

I read that book, Heather. A very dear friend of mine selectedit for a gift for me, thinking I would like it. She was so right. Books and stories have always been so special to me because I too was read to as a child, and my grandfather told the best bedtime stories! Your darling postcard brings all that back to me.
Thank you!

Love,
Alberta

ps I was excited to be a guest designer for a challenge this week too(TGIF); it was fun! Stop by to see all the great entries, if you have time.

(I can't let myself stay here in your blog for too long or I will start making stuff and I need to be in my cage world!) I'll be back here mid-week if it's not too late to participate.... LOVE your piece, as usual. X

What always impresses me about your collages Heather is the depth you create in them. This one is another example of that! Nice work and I love your beeswax collages. Do you use a heat gun to spread the wax around?
