What a beautiful quotation. I think of it when I'm on my runs in the morning especially at this time of year. The birds seem so loud after a winter of relative silence from them. It is a marvelous and welcome sign that Spring is around the corner as is the presence of snowdrops in my garden. They are hardy wee souls that have already survived a couple of frosts and a snowstorm but they soldier on determined to flower. I have yet to see my first robin but I will shortly, no doubt. This piece is in honour of "Signs of Spring" and is my entry for this week's Saturday Surprise challenge.

I love robins and this is just a wonderful piece of art, Heather! Lovely details!
Love the piece, Heather, and I always enjoy reading your posts. I saw my first robin this season a couple of days ago--it was sitting on a light post outside my front yard! We have lots and lots of red-winged blackbirds and house finches at our backyards feeders now. A couple of yellow-rumped warblers have joined the crowd recently. Have a great weekend!
Whoops--I meant, backyard feeders! I do love the wild birds!
Great idea and a very interesting piece to look at!
Great card! I love the way the little girl is sitting with her hands folded. She "speaks" silence. ~Lori
