The written word is so powerful. It has the capacity to inspire us, to call us into action, to make us weep with its beauty or lull us with its cadence. A couple of weeks ago, I posted the companion piece to this one featuring Emily Dickinson. Walt Whitman is featured here with a stanza from one of his poems. This is my entry for this week's Mixed Media Monday challenge.

I never thought of using Walt Whitman as a subject in any of my artworks... :P This is gorgeous. I love the colours here. I want to give you the Kreativ Blogging award (you probably have about a million all dusty in your blog archives...) Post it onto your page along with a list of 7 things you love, then nominate another 7 worthy bloggers. (I'm using the imperative mood here, but this is of course, optional!)
