Unfortunately, you can't see the love quotation on this scan very well. Perhaps I was a little overexuberant with the walnut spray! It is from "The Rose", a song sung by Bette Midler and first introduced to me when a choir master of mine from high school chose it for a concert. I remember the hauntingly beautiful sound of it in the concert hall and the stillness that hung over the room immediately after. This is my entry for this week's Created ByHand challenge.

I bet that song did sound haunting in a concert hall. Beautiful song for a beautiful card! ~Lori
I agree with you about the song.. hauntingly beautiful.... just like this piece of work.. love it.
Beautiful piece, Heather. I always loved that song by Bette Midler.
Wonderful. Love your music heart.
It's lovely, Heather. (Speaks to me as my SIL sang this at our wedding right before I walked down the aisle.)
Such a beautiful card Heather!
So many beautiful pieces since last I visited! You are so good at delicate layering - just lovely.
Are you an a child of the '80's by chance? I graduated from high school in '84 and I don't remember exactly when in high school, but I remember almost crying when hearing "The Rose". I am pretty sure we sang it in chorus too!
I'll be back for more of my craving to see your work! It's always a treat to see what you're up to!
