Daily Art Stop - Dreams

I've been thinking a great deal about finding balance in life lately. How does one juggle work life, family life, time with friends, creative time without feeling worn out and constantly overwhelmed? I will likely struggle with this always but that doesn't stop me from dreaming about finding that stillness and serenity described in the poem on this piece. It is a favourite of mine. This is my entry for this week's Daily Art Stop.

Hi Heather :) I personally find my stillness and peace while I am in my studio working on something, I actually have feelings of joy. Then my puppy may start to tell me, this is enough mom, and I pick him up and hug him, and then it's his time. I dream of feeling like that in more areas of my life too.
This is a lovely piece, and I love the poem :)

What a lovely serene piece of art. The quote is beautiful, and it is true, we do need to find that quiet, still time for reflection and appreciation of what we have that so often we take for granted. I love the way you do find the time for your art, you produce so much and it is all so stunning. Like Lynn said, often my peaceful times come when I am creating, I escape to another world. Sometimes just sitting and absorbing nature is calming and refreshing too.

I really love this one. Especially the bird and how you used the skeleton leaves. I like to use leaves in my art too, but never thought of using them like this. Beautiful job.

Heather, a journey through your blog is a walk through elegance. This picture is wonderful as is your description of how you arrived at the final result. The quote is perfect.
