TGIF - Toys

Toys...the stores are filled with them right now. Do you remember sitting down with a catalogue, in my case the Sears Christmas Wish Book, and making your list for Santa. Then came the waiting for the big day to see what would appear. I remember thinking Christmas Day would never come. This is a round robin page that is my entry for this week's TGIF challenge.

Love the fun and whimsy of this page - I remember the Wish Book too. My favorite accent is the little bird in his Christmas party hat!

Heather - Oh wow! You did that too?!!! I remember doing that! We also had Montgomery Wards and Penney's catalogues which made the decision even harder on what to get! :D I love this piece! Thanks for the stroll down memory lane! Marva

I have tried to do catch up for a week.

hOPE YOUR cHRISTMAS AND 2009 are fantastic with sooo much crafting for 2009.

I leave you with this little thought.

May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey be plump,

May your potatoes and gravy
Have never a lump.

And your pies take the prize,

And may your Christmas dinner
Stay off your thighs!

eeeeh I DO remember reading whatever catalogue I could get my hands on that had Christmas gifts in it... although rarely got many of the things on my list cos I was the eldest of seven... but I always got one special gift... my favourite being a massive spanish dancing doll that said Mama... ooooooh I loved her so :D She was almost as tall as me and the best pressie I ever received from Santa!!
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas Heather and a New year full of happy things :D
hugs
