Theme Thursday - Happiness

The Theme Thursday challenge this week is to create a piece of art that depicts "happy/happiness". There are so many things in life that bring me happiness....friends, family, art, books....the list could go on forever. This gothic arch represents the joy I feel working with children, my love for birds and the importance of sharing a good laugh with others. To me, this little fellow looks genuinely happy.

I love when challenge sites post their "themes" a week in advance. It gives me more time to create. I knew that the Gothic Arch challenge this week was to use "buttons" in our pieces so I snuck in a few sweet coloured ones. They are among my favourite embellishments.

Heather, your arch makes me believe I can fly! I'm going to go find the closest raven outdoors and take off for stamping land. :) Gorgeous piece. On the note of challenge blogs posting themes in advance - I totally agree. I seem to do my best work over the period of a few days, rather than rush and post.
