Wednesday Stamper - Favourite Object to Alter

Once you begin "altering" nothing is safe from creativity. Suddenly packaging from products becomes exciting and you find yourself saving objects from being thrown out. It also means that you need more space in your art room for your ever-growing collection. I enjoy altering paper bags and making them into books. I had an extra chipboard house lying around and wondered how it would look as the cover to a paperbag book. Lo and behold it fit perfectly. I've shown a photo of it and a couple of pages in the Christmas themed book. This is my entry for this week's Wednesday Stamper.

know all about the growing boxes of STUFF to alter... my daughter says I am like one of those bag ladies and when i die they will have to force the door open from the outside because the ever growing STUFF will be piled behind the front door.
HAHA I have to agree.
She catches me looking in her dry rubbish in the shape of boxes and everything... when I see her heading to the bin I get there be4 her and shout oh dont throw that out....rofpmsl.
DD reckons she will have one big sale of crafts and stuff to get some money for my funeral...haha...She said this in front of Chris and Chris made me sign a paper to say it would all be hers one day.... hahaha.
Oh got carried away there...love this house very very much.
I have a bag album yet to alter bought it on ebay 2yrs ago.
maybe soon you will see it as you do inspire me.
Hey I have nearly written a book.
love Chriss x

What a lovely way to cover a paper bag album Heather! I love your altered house... I'm afraid I agree with you re: space and hoarding! When I go to Boot sales, I am constantly looking for potential alterable items! Not sure whether imagination is a blessing or a curse! ;-]

Hi Heather, I like, I like. I am always finding objects on the ground & taking them home with me to use in my art someday. Funny how we change the way we look at things! Hugs***Renea
