I signed up for a Hallowe'en Haunted House fat book swap a while ago on one of my groups. In the end, we were asked to create 16 book pages, a daunting task to say the least. This is a sampling of three of mine. Once I started them, I found that I quite enjoyed the process. I tried to create a creepy atmosphere with the detailing on the background like the tree bare of leaves and the flock of flying birds. These pages are my entry for this week's
Mixed Media Monday challenge.

The graphics are wonderful -- sombre and perfect for Halloween...a man as a night walker (perfect!!!) and "free broom rides" just made me laugh out loud!

Fabulous pages. Love the background and the witches and worlock. Feel your pain. I just did a Halloween Book swap with 33 pages.
WOW, these are just fab! stunning artwork.
Fabulous pages I think the creepiness is certainly enhanced by the hints of colour in the flourish stamp and the sequin waste stamping and the fact that the content is not all out creepy, more almost normal day to day but underneath lies a dark secret.
Just brilliant they are fantastic, Jaqi

Heather they are so spooky. The images are so chilling. I have been looking at techniques today so I hope to begin producing better mixed media work soon. You are truly inspiring though. Pascale :)
Hi Heather, These are really wonderful pieces. I love them all.
You made all the pages different too? Wahhh that is a lot. I am taking part in a book swap too for Christmas and have 30 pages I think it is, but we make a page then have copies made. I was so relieved when I found that out LOL.
Your haunting houses are wonderful Heather, you must be glued to your chair by now :)
Everyone has been sooooo busy lately that I am struggling to keep up with my blog hopping... so forgive me if I haven't been by in a little while.
I adore all of your recent creations Heather and I love the fab way that you have used the newsprint paper on these and the others below.
