I have always been fascinated by barns. Perhaps this is because of my farming roots. I remember visiting friends of ours when I was young and jumping from the hayloft into a pile of hay. I also recall the sunlight shining through the cracks in the barn boards and the smells...well the smells of a farm. This is my entry for this week's Think Monday, Think ATC challenge.

both are just fantastic!!
Absolutely wonderful Heather!
What inspiration to think of "barns" when you think of architecture. The reality is, barn building was one of the original forms of architecture and I would think that way back in time, barns were built without blueprints and plans.
I love the rustic look of the second one and those children just seem so "right" to be in that setting.
Your ATCs are so beautiful!
What for stunning ATC´s. Love all the details and design. Gorgeous work.
Absolutely gorgeous ATCs, Heather. I love barns too and also grew up on a small farm. I have done some oil paintings of barns and even used old barn wood to paint on. I love how you incorporated the feeling of rural life in your ATCs.
A visit to your blog is always a pleasure. There is definitely a sense of nostalgia in these. Lovely!
I really like your use of the barns.
Wow what a backdrop these have and you set the scene so well with your wondeful story - I can almost smell the hay!!!! LOL
These are gorgeous and so effective. They are really striking ATC's. I love them!

Wow I love these barns, and I love what you've done with them. Right, I'm off to throw my architecture effort in the bin!!
These are so lovely.
