Theme Thursday - Hallowe'en/Autumn Challenge

What is it about Hallowe'en that is so inspiring and exciting for the creation of art? Is it the spookiness and mystery that surrounds it? Is it the chance to put witch's hats and bat wings on innocent looking children? Is it the colours? Whatever it is, I look forward to the Hallowe'en season each and every year. These are pages from a house-shaped board book that I created for a friend. We exchange artwork on a bi-monthly basis and it is always a pleasure to surprise one another. This is my entry for this week's Theme Thursday challenge.

I love the use of "hocus pocus" for a change in Halloween items and "I want my mommy" is brilliant!!! ;)

I don't do much in the way of decorating for Halloween, certainly not since my sons reached their teen years, but there is some "magical" about Halloween and art at this time of year that allows us to be playful and in some cases, a little sinister!!

How lovely. Did you cut the pages apart? I have used a few board books for collage, but never thought of taking it apart. You have the best ideas.
