I sometimes think about using vintage photographs of people like I thought about playing with paper dolls when I was young. I look at them closely and I try to imagine what their lives were like at the time of the photo, before it was taken and after. Were they happy, sad? Did they have difficult lives? Posing for a photograph usually, but not always, requires a smile and a semblance of happiness. This is a round robin page that I created and it is my entry for this week's Theme Thursday challenge.

Wow this is absolutely romantic.
Love the amazing background.
Awesome.
it's really lovely, and I know what you mean about trying to think about the lives of the people in the photos
Gorgeous Heather! Love the colours and all the elements you put together
So sweet! There is just something about old photos that make it seem like every day was romantic. And I want that house too! Wonder if its still around...
At last! Somebody else who makes up stories! Beautiful work Heather.
Such a gorgeous work of art, Heather. Sometimes the photos don't show smiling brides, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. (see my entry). One of my favorite wedding photos is of my uncle and aunt back in the early 30s. She looks scared to death.
Fabulous collage' Heather! Just beautiful!
I think this couple will be happy...I forsee 3 children standing by a white picket fence in front of a lovely house....oh, that's your layout!! LOL Nice, bright, cheery collage, Heather!
What a gorgeous card, Heather...the colors are wonderful!
Oh I used to do that too!! I'd sit with the Eaton's or Simpson's catalogues (seems like 100 years ago since we had those catalogues! Collectors items now!) and before I'd cut my "family" I'd decide who looked like they belonged together..and then I'd choose their furniture the same way!! What a great memory Heather!
Great color. Love the couple. Very cute.
Just a quick note Heather to wish you a happy weekend and to tell you I've left something for you on my blog today ♥
I enjoy the depth of the collage. The layers really bring it all together. So nice!
Love your page and your work Heather.
I like those colours, and it's wonderful, that you have that story for it, too!
really love this piece..I always think that of photos as well especially the really old ones you find in flea markets where the sitters had to look miserable mind you they probably had very hardworking lives compared to us..thanks for your comments on my blog
