Mixed Media Monday - Try Something New

The Mixed Media Monday challenge this week inspires us to try something new. Well, here it is! This is a very different style and colour choice for me. This is a round robin journal page that I designed. We each had to choose a colour and since all of the other colours that I would normally gravitate towards were taken, I was left with yellow. I found fantastically creative collage sheets on Etsy from a store called Altered Diva and this is what I created! I told you it was outside my comfort zone!!LOL

Heather, this is way out of your "comfort zone" but I love it -- each and every element but I have to say that large black bird really made me laugh and it's just so "not Heather" -- and yet at the same time, the longer I looked at it the more I thought, "of course this is Heather"....one of the most fabulous things about art is the ability to create from imagination -- from taking pieces and seeing something come together.

Why is this "Heather" (or Heddi Moppu to you!!! lol!) -- because of the vibrancy and the feeling it evokes. Fantastic piece Heather!
