Ah beeswax.....anyone who frequents my blog knows that I am in love with wax in any form so this week's "Step Outside Your Box Saturday" is so exciting to me. These are pages that are very personal to me. The photograph with the barn is taken on my Grandfather's farm. My Dad and my Grandfather are pictured in it. A few years ago we visited the farm high on a hill. The house and barn were deserted and falling down and it was eery....as though the spirit of my family was somehow still there. The quotation is from a book that I read and it just captures the feeling of this visit. I was actually stunned when I found it.

This is fantastic. You are incredibly talented.
Wonderful! I like that you have used an image that is connected to you... it relates so well... Kim
Lovely page Heather! My mom and dad still live on the farm I grew up on and they have a wonderful big white hip-roofed banked barn. I have a fantasy to one day turn the upper floor of it into a studio! Of course that is after I win the lotter so I'd be able to heat it!
Heather this is amazing work. love it
This is fantastic Heather!!
Incredible spread Heather. Love the quote, it reminds me of all the deserted and rotting barns we have down here.
Heather, these are awesome! Debbie
I love your work and this is absolut stunning!
Oh I want to cry...I love this.
I can't believe how that quote goes with this picture, and the sory. As always, I love to hear about what inspires your pieces. You must have some wonderful family photos, and it is so nice that you share them. I am going to start to use some of mine. I love that photo, such cuteness, the boys, the dogs, everything.
Your so talented!
Heather I read your found poem and it evoked such feelings of sadness (how true it was) you were meant to find that poem when you did to express your family farm. The pieces are amazing, once again your talent shines through.
Here in England a lot of barns are being made into homes so they have a new lease of life...
Wonderfully created pages Heather, and a fitting qoute to compliment them:)
